In some counties it is mandatory for some case types to be electronically filed. A bar blast is sent out with information related to mandatory e-filing status.

If you are in a county where electronic filing is not mandatory you can refer to the second tab  "Case Summary tab", this tab is helpful when filling our your Certificate of Service . If a party is listed under the Parties - Notified Electronically you know the system is doing the notification for you. If the party is located under the Parties - Notified by Mail you know you need to deposit that service by first class mail.

We ask that you state who the system is notifying electronically and who you are serving by mail on the Certificate of Service, this is helpful to the Judicial Staff and the Circuit Clerks staff where service verification is checked.
